Irene's Trip to Croatia

On Saturday morning, Bea and me came to the airport with our Germans friends. We started our trip at 6 in the morning and after two flights of two hours and a bus of four and a half hours, we arrived to Osijek, Croatia at 10:30 p.m. I met with Nika, my host and the other guest staying in her house, Elina, a Finnish girl.

On Sunday, we went to the church, where Nika sang, and afterwards we had a BBQ in her house with all the family. In the afternoon, we met for the first time with other hosts and guests. There we split in three groups. My group went to the zoo; we met with Barbara and Anni. We became good friends, we were all the time together, after the zoo we went to a pub, where we drunk some soft drinks. We had a good time, and we got to know each other quite well.

On Monday we got up and went to school, where we prepared international lunch, which I really enjoyed, I ate a lot. Finally, we met all the other countries, and Bea and I met after some time apart. In the evening we went to the shopping centre where we bought some souvenirs and talked a lot with each other.

On Tuesday we got up at 5 a.m. to take another 4 and a half hours to Zagreb. There we visited the cathedral, and had a tour around the city, we also visited the parliament of Zagreb . We ate there and at 4:30 we took the bus again, which I found amusing because we were talking, playing and sleeping all the time.

On Wednesday, we had the European Parliament, which was very interesting; we talked about being human as a public image, or was it because of real kindness. After we had a workshop with Red Cross, in which we practised the CRP. In the evening we went to the shopping centre again, and we played bowling. It was very fun, we were all together, after we ate in a restaurant.

On Thursday, the last day, we went to a museum in Osijek. After that we went again to the shopping centre with the other students. In the evening, the charity concert was held, Bea and I, did a performance of the song of “Amelie”. At night, we had the party which we enjoyed, but after some hours the Portuguese had to leave and tears started. I made a lot of friends there and I am very grateful to have met each other. I miss them a lot, and I hope I will see them, again.

Bea's Trip to Croatia

After a hard day of travelling since six in the morning, I arrived at Osijek (Croatia), my host Ivana and her dad were waiting for me at the bus station and after taking all the bags we went to their home. I met her mum, her oldest sister and her youngest sister, all of them were so kind and friendly with me. They gave me something for dinner, because they had had dinner before, and then I settled in the room that I shared with Ivana, and we went to sleep.

The second day we didn´t wake up too early because it was Sunday. Her parents and her sisters had gone to the church but we didn´t want to go, so we decided to go with some friends to see the town. I met there the polish girls, Klaudia and Alicia, and the English boy, Thomas, and their hosts, all of them were so nice.

In the afternoon we went to the centre of the city and we saw some important monuments.

On the third day, we woke up at more or less nine a.m. because we didn´t go to the first class that they got. But then we went to Ivana´s English class. We went with other Erasmus girls, Irene that was my Spanish partner, Elina, that was one of the Finnish girls, and Bárbara, who was from Portugal. After the class the Croatian guys showed us the hole school and then some children gave us a small welcome concert, it was fantastic because we got impressed with the talent that all of them had. After the concert we did the international lunch where we could try all the different dishes from each country.

In the afternoon we went to the shopping centre to do some purchases and spent some time all together.

On the fourth day we had to wake up very early, at 6:00 a.m, because we had a trip to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

We visited the most famous places of the city with a tourist guide, like the cathedral and the parliament, we could enter inside of the second one, everything was very interesting...

...Then we got free time and we went to have lunch and saw some souvenirs and clothes shops. And then we met with the teachers and come back to Osijek.

The fifth day we were a little bit tired so, after going to school where we presented a few power points and did a workshop with the Red Cross of Osijek. We went home and in the afternoon we went to the bowling alley. Bowling was so funny that we had a really good time. And then we had dinner in an Italian restaurant.

We woke up early to go to an art gallery where we saw a lot of famous paintings that were made by a famous Croatian painter. Then some of us went again to the shopping centre to pass the time, but me and my host went home because we were very tired. After having lunch we prepared for the charity concert in which everyone had to do something. Irene and I did a performance where she played the piano and I danced. And after the concert we had barbecue for dinner and then we did a mini party everyone together. Everyone ended crying because it was so sad that that was the last day.

It was a fantastic experience that I won’t ever forget, I met a lot of fantastic new people and new cultures.

Ivana's Trip to Spain

Hi, my name is  Ivana. I attend 7th grade. I went to Spain. This was my first visit to Spain and  first flight with plane at all. So, all was new for me: new place, new people, new culture, new school, new languages, new way of life. First we went to Budapest. I was enjoying during trip from Osijek to Budapest because I had  took so many photos with Nika. When we came to airport, we went to check in our baggage. Then we went to custom office and I was very excited. When I should pass through those big doors I was so excited and scared in same time. So, after we had done it, I send messages to my father, grandma, mother, sister, aunt and to my host, Jara. Then we started our talk about flight.

When we came to board the plane I was so so excited. So, the flight started and I was so impressed with beauty of Europe in the night. We were taking so much beautiful photos from the air and so many selfies. When we took off to Alicante, we set in taxi and we started talking about flight and first impressions about Spain. When I came to my host´s house, I met her parents who were so kind and nice. So, this was my first day in Spain. On Sunday, we went to some kind of mountain where we took many beautiful photos with all Erasmus+ students. After we  saw some parts of mountain, we set on grass and started eat our lunch and taIked about flights, conditions on our trips, languages, how to say some words in other languages, we were singing songs and laughing.

I hung out mostly with girls from Portugal and girls from Spain. After that we went to city centre and visited many shops. I thought Murcia is small city but when I saw it I was totally impressed with beauty of this so big and nice city. Cathedral in Murcia is so big and nice, Roman Theatre is so special, well I didn´t see inside I saw only outside but it is amazing.   Also, have tried many typical Spanish dishes and I liked it because they  are little bit different than Croatia´s. When we came home, I was so happy because I had great time on mountain and in the centre of Murcia.

On Monday, we went to school by school bus and I met so many beautiful pupils in bus. Than we had a school tour and I realize that our and Spanish school are very similar. I was little bit scared because it is really big and there are so many buildings and I thought that I might be lost in all those buildings.  Later  we had presentations about other countries, preparation for International lunch. I liked International lunch because I tried many different dishes and I liked many of them. In afternoon we went to city together.  We had very nice time while we were visiting city.

We were talking about International lunch and food that we have tried and our impressions  about Murcia, hosts, families and food. When we came home I was tired and I just prepared things from excursion to Cartagena. Next day, on Tuesday we went to Cartagena by bus. In  the bus we were singing ˝Happy birthday song˝ because one of hosts, Marta, had a birthday. In Cartagena  we visited Regional Parliament, Agua museum and lots of other things. On Wednesday we had our presentation  and European Junior Parliament.

European Junior Parliament was so good and interesting  and I learned many things about democracy, ways to rule a country, how politicians work in other countries.  In afternoon we went to shopping centre all together and I had a great time with all Erasmus+ students. We were laughing, smiling, singing, shopping and eating together. Our last day in Murcia was really nice and emotional. First in school we had a concert for children with special needs in school gym. We represented our country with song ˝Mi plešemo˝, later we were dancing on Despacito, Music Bridges and we danced  Zumba.

After that we went to restaurant where we tried paella and I liked it so much. After our lunch we started dancing I was so cool because we all knew lyrics and we realised that we are all listening same music. Time was passing really  quickly and soon it was time to say goodbye. We were all crying because this was end of our beautiful trip to Spain where I have meet so many wonderful people and made some friendships that I hope will last forever. On Friday, we safely came to home first by planes and by car.
